Dr Quan Yang joined Novartis in 2021 as Head of China Regulatory Affairs CMC. She provides CMC regulatory guidance throughout product lifecycle, supports the simultaneous development and registration of innovative medicines. She also serves as an IFPMA expert on the ICH Q1 Expert Working Group.
Before joining Novartis, she worked in Global Regulatory Affairs CMC Regulatory Intelligence at Merck from 2019, providing scientific regulatory advice and developing CMC strategies for chemical and biological products.
Previously, Quan was a Senior Pharmaceutical Assessor at the UK Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA), where she assessed pharmaceutical dossiers and variations for national and European procedures and contributed to EMA Quality guidelines.
Dr Quan Yang is a UK-registered pharmacist with a PhD in Pharmaceutical Science from the University of Bath.
